“With the opening of the University of Worcester Arena, there has been no better time for you to get involved. As a University of Worcester student you can participate, train and compete at the highest level of student sport, within the setting of state-of-the-art, fully accessible facilities,” Hannah Chenneour-Stockley, Sports & Societies Coordinator.

The University of Worcester Arena offers significant opportunities for students at the University by enhancing their academic learning experience and career aspirations. As well as extensions of the University's renowned Learning Through Sport initiative, there are also student opportunities in ‘Earn as You Learn’, ‘Volunteer as you Learn’ and work placements.

The Worcester Arena provides a fantastic facility where our students can develop as coaches, teachers and players. From beginners to elite level performers – there is now an opportunity for everyone at the University to benefit from this exciting venue.

“I think the Arena is a great asset to both the University and the Community of Worcester,” said Sport & Exercise Science student Sara Essa. “As a student myself, I believe we are so lucky to have such an amazing facility so close to the main campus and to where most of us live not only to use for practical lectures and training but also to host high level fixtures and competitions.

“The Arena has already created lots of opportunities for University students to get involved at high class events; all the volunteers that worked for the Netball Superleague Final seemed to really enjoy themselves and I believe there will be many more events of this calibre in the near future. It is great that the Arena is able to facilitate so many different sports.”
