Our Graduates go on to pursue exciting and diverse careers which span a vast variety of employment sectors, countries and individual futures.

We know that, regardless of the career you chose, future employers will want evidence of your expertise and the individual personal qualities which make you the best candidate. Our courses are relevant, based on current research and our assessments are designed to hone your practical and transferable skills where possible. Thanks to our close links with local employers, we are able to offer a range of work experience, volunteering, extra extra-curricular activities and internship opportunities.

Just a few of our recent graduate careers include: Performance Analysis for a British Paralympic Squad, enhancing global education and teacher training in India, Nursing and Teaching. Our employment statistics speak for themselves with 96% of Worcester graduates are in work or further study 15 months after graduating (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2022). Worcester is also the number one English higher education institute (excluding specialist institutions) for sustained employment, with or without further study, three and five years after graduation (LEO 2022)

Our Careers and Employability Service are based in the Peirson Study and Guidance Centre.  They offer in-depth support to current students and graduates including leavers toolkits, career planning sessions, CV and cover letter advice and application guides.

The myCareer service is the online home for all things Careers & Employability related and allows students, staff and graduates to book appointments, attend events, workshops and Careers Fairs, search for jobs and unlock different levels of the Worcester Award.

In order to help you determine the best learning environment for you, the Careers and Employability Service offer free psychometric tests to determine your learning styles, your career interests and your readiness to enter employment. They can support you to gain relevant experience, practice aptitude tests and maximise your potential for future employers.

Many students have opportunities to take placements or work project modules as part of their degree which further equips you for post-graduate employment. For Business School students, this might include a paid placement year in an area relevant to your future career goals.
