About us
The School of Health and Wellbeing encompasses subject areas including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, paramedic science, nutrition, clinical practice, health and social care, mental health, psychology, counselling, criminology, social work, and youth and community studies.
Our expert staff are not only excellent teachers, they are also high-quality practitioners in their own right, undertaking wide-ranging research and consultancy work in the field. At Worcester, our teaching and research always seek to achieve real-life benefits. We work closely with our local community and with partners across a wide range of sectors to enhance the student experience and to provide students with invaluable insight into professional practice.
The School supports an acclaimed Research Centre, which includes the Association of Dementia Studies (ADS), Mood Discorders, Living Well with Long Term Conditions, Health Inequalities and Social Inclusion Group and the Bystander Intervention Programme. We also house a specialist health and wellbeing facility, the McClelland Centre.
