Dementia Education for my organisation and team
The Association for Dementia Studies team, led by Professor Dawn Brooker, have a track record in providing consistently high quality education.
As a multidisciplinary team from a wide variety of professions we are able to create an education package that meets the needs of your workforce. These can range for one day Masterclasses and Workshops on specific topic to longer courses which can be delivered at a location that is convenient to your employees.
During the contracting process we will work with you to ensure that we understand the learning outcomes that you require from the education, and the course will be developed to meet these outcomes.
We work from a position of evidence-based practice. We bring to all our workshops and courses the latest and most up-to-date evidence from research and best practice. We work from an international perspective, drawing on an international evidence base.
We can provide you with evaluation of the improvements in confidence and knowledge of the staff who attend. We can also undertake an assessment of impact of the training on practice in your care setting by completing a more in-depth evaluation.
All courses are mapped to the Dementia Training Standards Framework so that you can demonstrate that staff have received appropriate training.
As well as bespoke non-accredited education courses, the Association for Dementia Studies is able to work with partners to develop university accredited modules. For example, ADS has worked with Dementia UK to develop a university module for Admiral Nurses.
Team members can also be funded to complete the fully online Post Graduate Certificate and/or Award.
