Student Occupational Therapy Clinics

Two students leading a physiotherapy clinic with a patient

Student Occupational Therapy clinics are run with support from registered and qualified therapists.

Occupational therapists are able to support people to find ways of improving wellbeing. Occupational therapy provides practical support to enable people to facilitate recovery and overcome any barriers that prevent them from doing the activities (occupations) that matter to them. This helps to increase people's independence and satisfaction in all aspects of life (College of Occupational therapists 2017). The clinics offer:

  • Occupational therapy based screening, which aims to introduce the service available.
  • To improve general wellbeing.
  • Advice on different resources, opportunities and approaches tailored to an individual to help improve understanding of health and wellbeing strategies and options available.
