Thoughts from international students at Worcester Business School

International students who have graduated from Worcester Business School have found a variety of career opportunities, both back in their home countries and internationally. Below are views and experiences from a sample of Worcester Business School’s international graduates

Li Yubing, China, International Business BA (Hons) Top-up
"I will never forget the first time I came to the University of Worcester. The special main reception, the large lawn, the wildlife and the tall trees impressed me.  Before I came here, I heard that Worcestershire was a beautiful and peaceful place and the University of Worcester was a beautiful and peaceful place. On the first day, everything was beyond my expectation.  Staying here for only one year was not enough for me and I really did not want leave so I stayed on to complete a masters degree."

Yang Yixi, China, International Finance BA (Hons)
I enjoyed my time at the University of Worcester. The course I took in International Finance was excellent. I learnt so much. On my return to China I was appointed to a finance position in a major international company which would have been impossible had I not studied for my degree in Worcester. Thank you so much.”

Wang Guangchao, China, International Business BA (Hons)
“My course was really challenging and I had to work hard for my good honours degree. The tutors were so supportive. Coming to the University of Worcester for my undergraduate degree and then being selected for a masters in Human Resource Management made it possible for me to return to China and obtain an excellent position within the business department of the government in Shanghai. The University is in a beautiful part of England and I was so happy there.”

Lingchen Kong, China – International Business Top-Up BA (Hons)
"I have been here one semester now and have settled into academic life. We all get lots of support from tutors and library staff. I go to the gym on site to keep fit (or try!) and I attend
extra English Language classes which I know will help me in my essays and speaking in class. I am so pleased to be here.”

Janak Mistry, India, International Management MSc
“I was impressed with the candidness of the lecturers who always encouraged you to ask and learn more. Some of the initial formalities showed how caring the university is for each student.”

Ahmad Mazen Abughazaleh, Jordan, MBA
“I am grateful that I have come here as the university has helped me a lot with my career and I would recommend studying here to anyone. Studying here is a first class experience; all the tutors and staff understand well how to guide us to study.”

Fernando Himal, Sri-Lanka, International Management MSc
“The student-lecturer interaction is very high and the friendly atmosphere is a great motivating factor for my studies.  You have all the opportunities and guidance at the University of Worcester to focus and succeed in your studies.”

Anthony Olusegun Birch, Nigeria, Management & Human Resources MSc
“Ever since I set foot on campus I received brain waves and continued to gather inspiration that would facilitate my aspiration to become a leading entrepreneur back home.”

Salih Korkmaz, Turkey, Marketing Management MSc
“Studying with Worcester Business School has been a great experience. I like that it gave me skills to critically evaluate any issue which I have learnt through various tasks and assignments.   During my studies, I got full support from university staff for many things such as accommodation, library, lessons and more.”

Julia Ognieva, Ukraine - Business, Economics and Advertising BA (Hons)
“I chose the University of Worcester for the course and because the city is more relaxed and accessible than London. It’s a lovely, lively city with the Malvern Hills on the doorstep. Instead of spending hours on public transport I could devote time to photography, my secret passion.  The university itself is quite small; relaxed and friendly. You feel the lecturers have their doors open and want to help you.”
