Purpose-built courtroom

The University of Worcester School of Law's purpose-built law court opened in September 2016.

The specialist facility features benches for judges, barristers, defendants, witnesses and even members of the press, just like a working court. There is also a jury room next door to simulate the real court experience, and a number of seminar rooms.

Head of Law, Bill Davies, said: “We were really excited when we saw the furniture being installed in our brand new Law Court suite, which provides students with an excellent learning environment. The facilities are perfect for mock trials and mooting and give students a real flavour of the courtroom environment.”
