Chinese students at Worcester Business School

Students from China who come to the University of Worcester are always received with warm welcomes and all-around support.  Many select from the wide range of undergraduate courses run by Worcester Business School.  The one-year International Business Top-up Degrees BA (Hons) are particularly popular.  Many of our students enjoy their time at Worcester so much that they stay for another year to study one of our masters courses, such as MBA - Master of Business Administration, Finance MSc, International Management MSc, Marketing MSc or Human Resource Management MSc.

“Studying at the University of Worcester was the best and most rewarding time of my student life. I am very proud of being a student here. My degree has enabled me to obtain a first class job with a major bank.”

The University of Worcester is a truly international university in its outlook.

All the staff are accessible, patient and give a great deal of help when needed. My course is relevant to my future career.

I enjoy living in Worcester. It is a very small town in Chinese terms but I have found the people who live here to be friendly and helpful. The environment in terms of architecture, landscape and facilities are really very good.

I have joined the Student Union Committee and work as a volunteer. I helped with the Chinese New Year celebrations in the city and work part time in a local Chinese restaurant. The overall student life lifestyle suits me and I can honestly recommend any Chinese student wanting to come to the UK to study, to seriously consider coming to the Worcester Business School. Since coming to Worcester, I have even given lectures at Renmin University in Beijing  about studying at Worcester for top up and masters degrees. This was a big honour for me.

Initially my joint honours degree was a combination of my favourite subjects throughout school.  Then it gave me a passion for advertising. The Business School has the balance of excellent students and professors. Everyone is incredibly friendly, intelligent and ambitious. The University of Worcester provides students with valuable extra opportunities such as entering  an advertising awards competition to gain experience from top international businesses. The degree gave me a broad perspective of the business world and I could not have imagined going anywhere else for my undergraduate degree.

The most important thing for us is that the staff in the Business School are so supportive and helpful.
Studying at Worcester is very enjoyable but hard work!. The new library (“Hive”) is very good and open long hours. We have lots of help from specialist Business School librarians when we need it. The university provides us with additional English Language classes which help us to improve our language skills.

Worcester as a city is wonderful for Chinese students. The streets and shops we love.  We walk on the hills in Malvern even when it is cold!  We have visited London, Birmingham and some of the other university towns our friends are studying in.

Life is not all work. We play table tennis (against other Chinese only!! And badminton) but there are lots of other sports societies. The Students’ Union is very active and has Chinese students’ on its Board.

Overall we are both happy and really recommend the University of Worcester Business School. We cannot thank enough all the staff and tutors for helping us.
