People in Worcester are invited to come to the opening night of a free public exhibition showcasing the very best artwork from students in Worcester.
The Show 25 is an end-of-academic-year presentation of work by final-year students at the University of Worcester’s Institute of Arts and Humanities, which begins with an opening night celebration at the University’s Art House on Thursday 22 May from 6-8pm.
This year’s show will include work by students studying Creative Media, Game Art, Graphic Design, Advertising and Marketing, Fine Art, Illustration, Animation, Filmmaking, Journalism and more, with more than 100 students exhibiting.
Dr Mark Flisher, Head of Institute of Arts and Humanities at the University, will welcome visitors to the event.
He said: “The Show is an important part of our students’ journeys, it’s where years of creative work comes together.”
He continued: “The quality of this year’s degree show is nothing short of excellent. It’s a marker of our students’ hard work and dedication, and it’s also an indicator of the innovation and impact that our artists of tomorrow will have on the creative industry.”
Attendees on the night will see the award presentation and have the chance to meet the students behind the artwork and staff from the University.
The opening night is a free event and is open to all with no advance booking required.
After the opening night, the exhibition at the Art House on Castle Street will be open from 23-28 May, 10am-4pm daily, including the weekend but excluding the Bank Holiday.
