Adam Ashley
Adam Ashley achieved First Class Honours in Accounting and Finance BA (Hons)
“I’m delighted and excited for what the future holds now that the hard work has paid off,” said the former Bulwell Academy student.
“It was tough initially when the lockdown came into effect in March,” he added. “However, lecturers were always readily available via email and over video communications. I feel lucky that I was still able to sit my exams and be assessed on my own performance instead of relying on a predicted grade.”
Adam has remained busy throughout the pandemic, initially as an accountant with a recruitment agency that specialised in recruiting temporary NHS workers to help meet the challenges of the pandemic, and more recently with a work placement at a top accountancy firm.
“I am currently working at a leading accountancy practice in the West Midlands with clients spanning across the whole of the United Kingdom,” he said. “I am studying towards my ACCA qualification and due to the exemptions gained from the University of Worcester, I only have to take four exams to become qualified.”
“In the long term I aim to be running my own accountancy practice which has been an ambition of mine since I began studying Accounting at the University of Worcester,” he added.
