Mental Health Inequalities in Rural Communities

The Mental Health Inequities Research unit encompasses a broad range of multi-disciplinary mental health research at the University of Worcester including NIHR funded THRIVE Mental Health Leaders Award, Bipolar Disorders Research, and Child and Adolescent mental health.  

The remit is to undertake impactful, inclusive co-produced research to: 

  • Improve outcomes for those people with severe and persistent mental health issues 

  • Develop and evaluate new ways of working  

  • Addressing inequities in marginalised groups within this community.   

  • Develop research capacity in under-served areas.
