Louise Beattie English SL Louise is the PGCE secondary subject lead for English. She spent over 10 years in secondary education culminating in the role of Head of English in a large secondary school before moving into a Local Authority position as Secondary English Adviser for 11 years.

She joined Worcester University as a senior lecturer in 2013 and since 2017 has been the subject lead. Having already gained a Master’s qualification in Education and Leadership, she focused on developing her writing for publication. She has co-authored two books with a primary colleague and contributed chapters to a book on subject mentoring. She recently published an article in Social Learning Relationships in Primary Schools. She is a fellow of the HEA.
