Fran is a lecturer in Primary Education and teaches across Computing and Physical Education. He joined the University of Worcester in 2021 after making the move from Primary Education. In his school experience, Fran was subject lead for Physical Education and Computing, and he particularly enjoyed his role mentoring trainee teachers on placements over the years.

Fran has completed master’s level research in educational leadership, mentoring and coaching and subject specific pedagogy. He is currently studying an EdD (Doctor of Education) looking at educational policy, philosophy and pedagogy. Fran is passionate about physical activity in children and has most recently researched child obesity policy and its implications for primary schools.
