Alice is an experienced Midwife and clinical educator. Alice has worked as a Midwife in Leeds, Nepal and across London. Alice has been working in clinical and higher education since she joined the Midwifery department at King’s College London University in 2017. Since then, she developed an interest for interactive learning through simulation-based-education and has worked as a Simulation Specialist and Lead for Simulation across different London NHS Trusts. As such she has extensive experience designing and delivering engaging, interactive, multidisciplinary teaching sessions. She has knowledge and experience in human factors education and is currently researching the topic for her master’s degree.

Research Interests
Alice’s current area of research is phenomenographic research into clinical educator’s understanding of human factors. Alice wants to improve access and quality of teaching on human factors as it should be embedded into clinical education across the nursing, midwifery, medical and AHP curricula. This is to address the national agenda for patient safety, as articulated in the national patient safety syllabus (HEE, 2021).
