The University of Worcester, in association with the University of Wolverhampton, invite you to participate in our international conference entitled ‘Education for Sustainability in a Climate Crisis: International Perspectives’ with a focus on Student Voice.

Education International noted "Education was on the agenda at COP more than ever before, and more and more governments, organisations, and activists are recognising climate change education as a fundamental component for a sustainable future and a just transition. Education International Deputy General Secretary Haldis Holst … underscored educators around the world are motivated to teach for the planet but need an enabling policy environment to do so, including curricular reform, training on teaching climate change, relevant teaching and learning materials in multiple languages and professional autonomy.” This conference will allow us to share our responses to these challenges.

The conference is organised under two broad areas: Research and Practice, but with a key unifying theme: Student/user voice.

Call for papers

We invite students who have conducted research or run projects around the themes above to share their work whether that be at school, undergraduate of postgraduate level. We also welcome education professionals, the private sector and the voluntary sector to share their research and initiatives, but priority will be given to those that have a high degree of student/customer/service user involvement.

Presentations under the two strands below need to have a significant element of student/user involvement.

We particularly welcome submissions from colleagues working in the global South or in partnership with such colleagues.
