  • Pots and pans (just bring the basics to start with as your flat mates may have all bought similar items to you and you don't need 5 woks!)

  • A sieve or colander
  • Peeler/cheese grater/measuring jug
  • Mugs, glasses, plates, bowls
  • Tea towels/kitchen roll/washing up liquid/washing powder

  • Chargers, extension leads and adaptors (no cube extension plugs)

Essentials

  • Photo ID and important documents (passport, a copy of your birth certificate, your national insurance number, VISA, student finance details)
  • Money and bank cards (We advise you to bring only enough money to cover the first few days)
  • Mobile phone (International students are advised to get a UK sim card as soon as possible)

 

What not to bring to accommodation

  • Portable heaters
  • Heated airers
  • Candles, tea lights, incense sticks, wax melts, oil burners.
  • Mains powered fairy lights
  • Electrical items that have not been PAT tested
  • Pets
  • Additional furniture or soft furnishings
  • Deep fat fryers
  • Weapons (including decorative weapons)
  • Dangerous items
