My main area of practice in social work has been with adults with a learning disability, autism, ADHD and other neurodivergent profiles. I have experience of working in community teams within the West Midlands, as well as working within healthcare.

I have a wide range of assessment experience of mental capacity assessments, deprivation of liberty, safeguarding and initial assessment as well as risk assessment and other associated tasks. I am particularly interested in the use of artificial intelligence in social work and in supporting students both in academia and practice.

I have a background in higher education working with a range of universities and partner institutions and I have expertise as an external examiner. I am passionate about working with students with learning difficulties to support them through their educational journey in higher education. I am currently undertaking training to practice as a qualified counsellor.
