Suzanne completed her B.Ed (hons) degree at Worcester College of Higher Education and subsequently taught in a range of West Midland Schools for fourteen years. She held a range of middle leadership posts including Head of Design and Technology: food and textiles and Head of Faculty as well as completing her MA in Educational Management at Wolverhampton University. In 2005 Suzanne moved to Birmingham City University where she became the course leader for the PGCE secondary design and technology course and the deputy course director, a course that was graded as outstanding by Ofsted in 2010. During this period Suzanne also taught on the undergraduate BA Primary Education, Masters in Teaching and Learning and MA courses. In 2012-13 Suzanne was seconded two days per week to act as a consultant for the Arthur Terry Teaching School SCITT programme before she moved to the University of Worcester in June 2013 to become the Secondary PGCE Course Leader. Within this role Suzanne manages the PGCE secondary course team which includes computer science, design and technology, economics with business, English, geography, history, mathematics, modern languages, PE, psychology, religious education and science (physics, chemistry and biology) and has responsibility for the professional studies programme. Suzanne is also involved in the management of the school direct training and school direct salaried training routes. More recently, she has become a Principal Lecturer with cross institute responsibilities.
