Eleanor is a Professor of Health Psychology, Chartered Psychologist and full member of the British Psychological Society Division of Health Psychology. She joined the University of Worcester in 2013 having previously been the Head of Research and Development for a large adult mental healthcare NHS Trust and Professor of Healthcare Research and Evaluation at Staffordshire University.

Eleanor has an established research track record, with specialist expertise in qualitative methodologies and coproduction. She has spent many years supporting health and care professionals to develop their research and evaluation expertise and has run secondment programmes, intern opportunities and masterclasses aligned to this area.

In 2020 she collaborated with colleagues from Keele University and the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to establish the award-winning STARS (Supporting The Advancement of Research Skills for health and social care professionals) programme.

Eleanor is also the Principal Investigator for the 5-year NIHR funded THRIVE (Tackling Health Inequalities and Unmet Rural Mental Health Needs In Vulnerable Communities Across Herefordshire and Worcestershire) research programme.
