Ruby brings expertise in qualitative methods including semi-structured interviews, focus groups, sensory ethnography, and reflective practice.
She is currently working on a realist evaluation and previously led a realist work package, contributing to data collection, analysis, and publications. Ruby brings experience of working with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, NHS and social care professionals, and people living with dementia and their carers, including those lacking capacity.
She is skilled at adapting methods to support inclusion and regularly prepare complex ethics applications. Her PhD used Goethean science, a phenomenologically informed approach aligned with ethnographic and action research traditions. Ruby has also conducted a meta-ethnographic systematic review.
