Felix is a registered health and occupational psychologist with expertise in occupational stress, personnel selection, health psychology, and behavioural science.

His consultancy work with organisations such as the UK Health and Safety Executive, Humberside Police, British Transport Police, and the Singapore Police Force has involved evaluating occupational stress resilience and job performance, as well as integrating physiological data with psychological assessments in occupational health, leadership, and personnel selection.

Collaborating with international partners in Indonesia, he has also designed and evaluated the efficacy of behavioural change interventions for physical activity, dietary choice, and nicotine use. The effectiveness of these interventions is often examined in terms of individual differences such as culture, gender, body weight, and personality. These individual differences reveal the context that might change the effectiveness of behavioural change interventions and occupational outcomes.

His expertise and interest lie in indirect, implicit, and non-conscious ways of behavioural change (e.g., nudge theory) and their comparison to more explicit and information-based approaches (e.g., the use of printed information materials).
