Emma has extensive experience conducting and delivering in-depths evaluations centred on socially impactful programmes using ethnographic approaches.
With a strong focus on participant voice, empowerment and longitudinal insight, her evaluation projects include; assessing the impact of wheelchair tennis on athletes from developing nations for the International Tennis Federation—requiring immersive fieldwork at a major tournament in Turkey, an 18-month, a multi-site study evaluating a pioneering gym instructor training programme focused on disabled individuals, and an extensive 18-month ethnographic evaluation of the Invictus Games, capturing its profound effects on injured and ill veterans and their families.
