Andrew is a part-time PhD student in the School of Humanities at the University of Worcester. 

Andrew’s main research areas of interest are the European horror film, especially from 1959-1994, the zombie film genre & European arthouse cinema. In addition, the Spaghetti Western genre, the fin de siècle period for literature, together with the works of Dante, Milton & Blake. Upon completion of his PhD, Andrew intends to research & write a new book on German cinema to publish in 2022.

Andrew has also curated the first Horrorford outdoor film festival during October 2018, as well as presenting to the Horror, Cult & Exploitation Media III PhD workshop at Northumbria University in May 2019.

Andrew’s supervisor is Dr Mikel Koven.

Prior to commencing his PhD, Andrew has contributed to a number of both national and independent magazines & journals, specialising in European horror cinema, transgressive cinema & erotica. He has also had several film books published via London publishers as well as his own company, Noir Publishing.

In addition to working towards his PhD, Andrew currently works for Like Radio.
