Brooke Evans

When Brooke Evans enrolled at the University of Worcester, she knew she wanted to help people. Through her studies, placements and experiences overseas, she discovered not only a profession but a passion for nursing.

However, Brooke's journey into healthcare began long before university.

At the age of 17, Brooke was diagnosed with leukaemia and spent eight months receiving treatment on the haematology wards at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. During her illness, there were times when she felt like giving up, but the dedication and compassion of the nurses around her helped her through the most challenging period of her life.

After graduating from the University of Worcester, Brooke returned to the very same hospital. Her first job in her new career path saw her working as a haematology nurse, caring for patients with the same condition she once battled herself.
