What is an unconditional offer?

An unconditional offer gives you a guaranteed place on your course name, it is not dependent on your results. You should continue to work hard in your coursework and exams, but hopefully this unconditional offer will mean that you can start to make firm plans for next year.

What happens if I can’t attend an event?

If you would like to be considered for an upgraded offer but can’t attend on of the events we are holding please get in touch with us. It may be possible make a special arrangement so that an academic member of staff can speak with you.

Do I have to upgrade my offer?

No, you don’t have to upgrade your offer. You will still hold your original, results-dependent conditional offer.

What should my portfolio include?

A portfolio is a selection of your artwork which reflects the range of your abilities, your creative process, and your interest in the course that you have applied for. Your portfolio should showcase a range of your work. You can include course work, personal projects, sketchbooks, photographs, drawings, paintings, models, sculptures, objects, websites, videos – anything that supports your application for the course you have chosen.

You may need to digitise some of your work - use a camera or scanner as required to obtain the best digital images. Please add short descriptions for each item, explaining the work, the project and your response.

What happens if I don’t have a portfolio and cannot attend the Open Day?

If you would like to be considered for an upgraded offer but are not able to submit a portfolio or attend the Open Day please get in touch with us. It may be possible to make a special arrangement so that an academic member of staff can speak with you.

How do I accept my offer?

You will be able to accept your offer via UCAS Hub. You’ll need to select a ‘firm’ and an ‘insurance’ choice of university.

Your ‘firm’ is your first choice; it’s the place you most want to go to. If you accept a conditional offer and meet the conditions, you’ll have a confirmed place at this university.

Your ‘insurance’ option is your second-choice university. If you have a conditional offer from this university then you’d still need to meet those conditions for your place to be confirmed.

Take a look at the UCAS website for all the information you will need on replying to your offer.

When will I be able to apply for accommodation?

Worcester has an excellent range of high standard, purpose-built, University owned and managed on-campus accommodation.

In order to be able to apply for accommodation you will first need to have accepted your offer and made the University of Worcester your firm choice. If you accept us as an insurance choice, you will not be able to apply for accommodation unless and until you decide to go firm at a later date and accept our offer of a place.

Accommodation preferences are allocated on a first come, first served basis, so it’s important to apply as soon as possible.
