Weekly pollen and fungal spore forecast summary

Pollen Forecast for West Midlands forecast region until 26th June:  Pollen: Very High risk from grass and High risk from weeds; Spores: High risk  from Cladosporium.

Grass Pollen Count - Very High

 Pollen forecast for grass with a severely high red pollen count.

Grass pollen will reach high, or very high on the hotter days, particularly in the first half of the morning and again from late afternoon into the early evening.

Tree Pollen Count - Low

 Pollen forecast for trees with a low green pollen count.

Lime tree pollen season is underway but this is an allergen affecting a small minority of hay fever sufferers and the pollen amounts that get airborne are low in the general airstream, but can be high directly near the trees.

Fungal Spore Levels - High

 Pollen forecast for spores with a high orange pollen count.

Cladosporium now at high risk on warm, dry days above 17oC. Leptosphaeria and allies will increase during high humidity and in association with rain, at a moderate risk.

Weed Pollen Count - High

 Pollen forecast for weeds with a high orange pollen count.

Nettle pollen will be a high risk during warm, dry weather.
