Erica is a former student and graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physical Education. She has a keen interest in football having played semi-professional in the past. Whilst growing up in Saudi Arabia, Erica developed a strong passion for developing and promoting opportunities for females in football – something which wasn’t easily accessible for her.

Scope of Role at University

Erica is a member of a small team of sport and exercise supervisors. They are the first points of contact for academic, student and community groups who use our sporting facilities across the three sites: Sports Centre, Riverside and University Arena. Additionally, Erica works closely with the Sports Facilities Manager and Arena Events Manager to ensure that daily operations are kept at a high standard, whilst offering operational support to all groups and individual students who visit the University's practical sports facilities. Erica also works closely with external football clubs, aligning their fixtures with pitch availability.

Internal Responsibilities

Erica assists the Facilities Manager and supervisory team in timetabling all academic, student sport, community, senior and recreation practical facility usage across all sports sites. Furthermore, she works closely with the part time sport and exercise assistants as well as with the Students' Union and events team acting as a head steward on event days such as Worcester Wolves matches and Severn Stars games.

External Responsibilities

Erica leads the administration and development of community football programmes. Supporting the sport and exercise facilities manager to develop intramural and recreational football.
