For two years, Jane was released one day a week from school to teach English at the University. This then developed into a secondment in 2003 and she is now a part-time English tutor on the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses.
Jane is also Year 1 Co-ordinator. This involves organising and overseeing Induction Week, working with StARs and managing the Academic Tutor system for the year group, amongst other responsibilities.
Jane is module leader for a cross-curricular module which links English, Maths and Science, leading a team of 12 tutors.
As a School Experience tutor, Jane travels around the area to observe students in school and work with teachers. She is leading a reading project with a local primary school and Year 1 Undergraduates. She works closely with schools as part of her role within the Partnership team.
