Data Protection
The Data Protection policy gives details of the standards that employees are required to adopt when dealing with personal data, and also describes the procedures that the University has put in place to ensure compliance with the law.
To supplement these, there are specific guidelines that apply to personal data in employment and these are drawn to the attention of all employees here.
These contain guidance about the disclosure of references, information to third parties, access by individual employees to their own records, and the need to ensure that personal data is protected while being used off-site.
