External Partners

The University is one of 22 Higher Education Institutions who form the MSDP (the Midlands Staff Development Partnership). It provides a programme of development activities, e.g. problem-solving techniques, managing challenging & disruptive behaviour, how to help learners learn,and managing staff through change amongst many others. Please note - you can nominate yourself only through the University's Personnel Department. Events are free to MSDP members.

We are also a member of LFHE (the Learning Foundation for Higher Education which provides a range of activities, including events, publications and loan resources. Unlike MSDP events, these activities are not free to members so please ensure you have agreement to funding before you make a nomination.

The university has strong links with the AUA (the Association for University Administrators), the professional association for Higher Education managers and administrators. Your main contact at the university is John Ryan, Registrar and Clerk to the Board of Governors.
