Financial Hardship

If you find yourself struggling to manage your finances, firstpoint can help you access support.

You’ll find lots of information on finances, budgeting and other help available on the Money Advice webpage. This includes details of the Access to Learning Fund; a non-repayable grant administered by the University of Worcester to help eligible students who are experiencing financial difficulties. Find out more by visiting the Access to Learning Fund webpage.

There is additional financial support available to students for a range of reasons such as the type of course you are studying, you are a care leaver, have a disability or you meet the criteria for specific bursaries, scholarships or trust funds. Further information about these are available on the Money Advice Financial Support for Students Webpages.

If you are having difficulties and need guidance, don’t delay, you can book an appointment to speak with an adviser for one-to-one support.

To book an appointment please contact firstpoint by emailing firstpoint@worc.ac.uk, phoning 01905 54 2551 or visiting us in the Peirson Study and Guidance Centre on the St John's campus.

You can also get in touch with the Students’ Union for support on money matters and help to complete the ALF form.

For free, confidential and independent advice on dealing with debt problems in the UK, you can find information on the Government National Debtline page
