Mobile App

Make the most out of your day by using our new mobile app

We've just finished making our first mobile app and we've added some special features just for your open day. If you have a smartphone which runs Android or iOS you can download the app ready for the day. The app takes advantage of your phone's GPS capabilities and can help guide you around campus to find your next stop. The app also provides you with latest news, videos and images of the University along with a host of features for current students.

Download the app on the App Store or on Google Play.

Getting started

Once you've downloaded and opened the app you will see the springboard. This page lets you access all of the different features available on the app. Some of the features available are tailored to current students, you're welcome to have a look at them but the features we've made just for you are detailed below.

One of the most helpful features to you will be our new Maps module. When you first tap on Maps you will see a choice of locations. Select 'Open Day St Johns' and you will see your location on campus represented by a blue dot.

Places are some of the most useful spots on campus. Tap on the + icon in the lower right corner and select Places. You can then choose from useful spots like Cash Machines, Car Parks or Open Day places. Once you have selected a category you can look at an individual place or tap 'View in Map' in the top right corner.

Tours are only available to iPhone users. To enable a Tour simply tap the + icon in the lower right corner and select which tour you would like. At each point of the Tour pins are dropped on relevant buildings. You can tap on the pins to find out more about a building.

At all times a search is available within Maps. Type in any building name you need to get to and a pin will be dropped on the map showing you where you need to go. Tap on the pins to find out more about a building.
