Frequently asked questions
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the University of Worcester for a Campus Tour. To ensure you get the most out of your visit please read the below guidance and tips.
What to expect on the day
Your campus tour will start at the registration tent in the main car park (car park M) near our accommodation village. Please arrive within your selected arrival time slot and make your way to the welcome desk. By arriving at your time slot, you’re helping to manage the flow of people on campus.
At the welcome desk a member of our team will scan your event ticket in a contactless way whilst also maintaining the social distancing protocol of two metres. Once you’ve checked in, you’re welcome to spend as long as you like exploring the campus and City of Worcester.
There will be student ambassadors along the tour route so you can ask any questions you may have as you make your way round the campus. The route will be fully signposted and a map of the route will also be available from the welcome desk.
Please be aware that we are unable to offer our full campus tour experience at the moment so our lecture rooms and course specific facilities will be closed.
How long will the tour take?
The tour is self-guided so you can walk through the campus at your own pace. It can take between 45 minutes to an hour to complete the campus tour, although you are welcome to spend as much time on campus as you like.
Please remember to arrive within your selected arrival timeslot to help us manage the flow of people on campus.
How many guests can I bring?
Your total group size cannot exceed six people, so you and up to five guests.
Do I need to take a rapid Covid-19 test before arriving?
Whilst not compulsory, we would encourage you to consider taking a rapid lateral flow test prior to coming on to campus – this form of testing is for anyone who does not have Covid-19 symptoms. You can order tests online, collect from a participating pharmacy or visit a testing centre. To find out more about who can take a test and where to get one from, visit the GOV.UK website.
What measures are in place to ensure the Campus Tours are safe?
Our campus tours have been designed to ensure that all government guidelines are adhered to and socially distance protocols are followed.
The tour follows a one-way system and is mainly outside. Hand sanitising stations are available at the start and end of the tour and are also available along the route. Please be aware that our campus is open and students and staff have returned to study and work, however, the Campus Tour dates have been selected on days where the campus is quieter.
What type of accommodation will I be able to see?
You will be able to see three different types of accommodation, Traditional, Standard plus and En-suite extra. You will be asked to look around the rooms by yourself and accompanied guests. If you would like to know more about the type of rooms we have available on campus and our latest fees please visit our accommodation webpage

Free parking will be available in car park M where the registration tent is located. We will send you specific directions ahead of the day. Once you come onto campus you will be directed to the right car park.
What if I arrive early?
Please try not to arrive more than 15 minutes before your campus tour start time. If you do arrive early, please remain in your car if possible or if arriving by public transport please wait in an open area.
