AHRC Research Networking Scheme

The scheme is intended to support forums for the discussion and exchange of ideas on a specified thematic area, issue or problem. The intention is to facilitate interactions between researchers and stakeholders through, for example, a short-term series of workshops, seminars, networking activities or other events. Proposals for full economic costs up to £30,000 for a period of up to two years may be submitted. Deadlines are open.

ESRC Research Seminar Competition

This scheme provides up to £15,000 to set up multi-institutional seminar groups of academic researchers, postgraduate students and non-academic users who meet regularly to exchange information and ideas with the aim of advancing research within their fields.

Marie Curie Initial Training Networks (ITN)

Funding to set up a training network for early stage researchers in collaboration with organisations and businesses across the EU.

Marie Curie International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES)

The scheme helps research organisations to set up or strengthen long-term cooperation with others, through a coordinated exchange programme for their staff.

EU 7th Framework Programme Regions of Knowledge

The ‘Regions of knowledge’ initiative aims to strengthen the research potential of European regions, in particular by encouraging and supporting the development, across Europe, of regional ‘research-driven clusters’, associating universities, research centres, enterprises and regional authorities.
