Our Human Biology programmes introduce you to the essentials of cellular, organ, tissue and systems biology, as well as providing an understanding of pathology and epidemiology.
Human Biology is a fundamental understanding of how the body works and how it responds to changes in health and disease, such as growth, ageing, obesity and heart disease.
When you choose to combine Human Biology with another subject in a Joint Honours degree you will not receive the Royal Society of Biology accreditation as this pathway does not provide full coverage of mandatory curriculum content. However, there is flexibility to switch to Single Honours at the end of the first year if you wish to receive an accredited Human Biology degree.
