The day is for people interested in a Masters by Research (MRes), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Professional Doctorate (we offer DBA, EdD and DHSci).
What happens on an Open Day?
Throughout the day there will be a series of talks and activities. These will give you the opportunity to:
- speak to our MPhil/PhD course leaders
- hear the benefits of doing a research degree at Worcester
- find out how to put together a strong application
- join a tour of the City Campus and The Hive.

Research at Worcester
Research at Worcester has grown significantly in the last 10 years as the University itself has expanded. Our expertise in areas as diverse as atmospheric science, dementia studies, domestic violence, psychological medicine and twentieth century history is internationally renowned.
As a research student you will join a vibrant student community in our Research School and become part of our dynamic research environment.
Travelling to us
The day will mostly be based in the Jenny Lind building at City Campus. This is located in Worcester City Centre and is a 2-minute walk from Worcester Foregate Street train station:
There is a small car park for the Jenny Lind building which will offer free parking to open day visitors. Alternatively please use one of the other pay and display car parks in the city centre. Pay and display University of Worcester car parks can be found via Moors Road from Severn Terrace (WR1 3ED) or on Hylton road (WR2 5JN).
