Rebecca is a full-time PhD student in the Institute of Health and Society at the University of Worcester. She is part of the Association for Dementia Studies.
Rebecca’s research is focused upon dementia and sports reminiscence, memory and nostalgia. In particular, engaging with the cultural dimensions of sport as a means of improving the lives of people living with dementia.
Rebecca’s supervisors are Dr. Simon Evans, Dr. Shirley Evans and Dr. Geoffery Z. Kohe.
Prior to beginning her PhD, Rebecca has worked with older adults in South East Wales as a qualified social worker and across a range of third sector services.
In addition to her PhD, Rebecca is also an elite athlete and represents the Severn Stars franchise in the Vitality Netball Superleague. She has also been capped at senior level for Wales.
