Beyond ITE : NQTs and RQTs

We are committed to supporting our trainees during our time at the University and beyond their training as NQT and RQT alumni. We have a dedicated NQT team who offer a variety of support and opportunities for our former ITT trainees. These opportunities include Teachmeet events, short courses, representing NQT on our Partnership steering committee and professional development packages for schools to purchase. We also encourage our students and alumni to stay in touch via our NQT Twitter feed and Pinterest page.

"All three NQTs are an asset to our school. They are enthusiastic, conscientious, hard working and act on any advice given."

Sledmore School, Dudley

"Our NQT has made a really positive start. She has impressed a lot of people and has a great rapport with her class - particularly with the children who need extra support. Her use of resourcing and hooks in lessons really inspires the children."

Matt Trevor - Deputy Headteacher Woodthorpe Junior and Infant School
