Before coming to Worcester University, Pippa taught in a range of schools around the Solihull and Birmingham area. She had experience of teaching in all key stages, including working in a unit for children with moderate learning difficulties. She undertook a range of management and leadership roles and responsibilities, both as a member of the Senior Management Team and as a Literacy Subject Co-ordinator and Lead Teacher for Literacy in Solihull. She was also a member of the LA Team who worked with children who were gifted in the area of Literacy. Until September 2012, she was Subject Leader for English and co-leads the PGCE and Year 2 English modules.
