Before joining the University of Worcester STEM project team Liz worked as a Design and Technology Teacher, Head of year and Assistant Head in Derbyshire schools for 22 years.
After leaving her post in school, Liz worked for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust as a regional diploma coordinator across the West Midlands then joined the School Improvement Division at Staffordshire County Council.
Initially her role included working with schools and colleges in the Tamworth and Lichfield Districts to develop a collaborative 14-19 curriculum offer and access to impartial Careers Education and Guidance for students.
Liz then took on a Staffordshire wide role as the adviser for Design and Technology and subsequently a role in STEM education and the Staffordshire and Shropshire ambassador hub.
