Kat manages the work placement programmes. Kat works with students and businesses to develop and sustain employability opportunities for all WBS students at all levels including year in industry placements, graduate roles, business, computing and enterprise projects, and part time opportunities.


  • Young Enterprise – Lead Judge at Strategic Level 2010-2012. 6 years as judge at local and strategic levels for company programme (business start-up) for 15-18 year olds. Judge at local and strategic level from 2006-2009. Business Advisor to Kings School Worcester. Regional Lead Judge 2013
  • Bizcom (Regional business plan competition) – leadership and learning support for students, student was regional winner final 2008 and runner up 2009. Integrating local level competition into academic modules in Institute of Sports and Worcester Business School 2010-2012
  • Hay Festival 2011 – organised and led team of support and academic staff to deliver start-up workshop for children from 5-16 yrs of age
  • Leadership of Worcester Ideas Network (enterprise society) to achieve outstanding 5th place overall out of 35 in EPIC final 2010 (Entrepreneurs International Challenge) & 2nd out of 60 in EPOCH 2007
  • Worcester Award – working group member, student mentor, interview panel member for pilot award
  • Entrepreneurial Alumni Network – initiator of, leadership and development of network to support entrepreneurial UW graduates and alumni
  • Enterprise Hub – alignment of UW enterprise activity into one area
  • Leadership & Coaching development - University of Worcester
  • Completion of Mentor training at University of Worcester 2010 – mentor to new staff
  • Started own business ‘Redback Images’ Photography
