Great Britain to Take On Japan and Netherlands in Continental Clash at University of Worcester Arena

The Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball men’s team will be taking on Japan and the Netherlands in a Continental Clash at the University of Worcester Arena next week.

It will be the third year that the University has hosted the Clash, and the second since British Wheelchair Basketball confirmed the University of Worcester Arena as its new home.

The ‘Continental Clash 3’ begins on Monday, June 2 and culminates in a battle between Japan and Great Britain on Thursday, June 5.

Head of the University’s Institute of Sport and Exercise Science, Mick Donovan, said: “This provides another great opportunity for the people of our region to show their support for wheelchair basketball and for the GB team who have chosen Worcester as their home. It will be a great showcase of elite level support.”

Tickets are free, although donations to St Richard’s Hospice would be gratefully received, and are available from the University Arena Box Office.
