We are a dynamic and fast-growing University community that prides itself on its inclusivity, innovative and inspirational teaching, research and leadership throughout the organization.
The governing body comprises 20 members of whom 14 are independent non-executive members, who bring significant professional, business and educational experience of working at a senior level in their chosen field. As the University is a charity, members on the board are the trustees, having oversight of the educational character, reputation, mission and strategy of the University, with specific responsibilities for financial sustainability probity and the effective use of resources.
We are not currently actively recruiting new independent governors, but welcome expressions of interest at any time. These will be reviewed by the Nominations Committee, which meets twice a year. The University is committed to promoting diversity throughout the organization and expressions of interest from women, members of minority group or those with a disability would be particularly welcome. Please follow the link below If you would like to submit an expression of interest.
Independent members do not receive a salary, but their training, development and travel costs are reimbursed and they enjoy the benefits of participating actively in University events and directly contributing to the continued success of the University.
