A free one day course focusing on food allergies is taking place at the University of Worcester later this month.
The course, led by Dr Laurence Trueman and Dr Denise Mortimore, from the University’s Institute of Science and the Environment, is open to anyone interested in the subject. It takes place on Saturday, January 28th, from 9.30am, in conjunction with the National Pollen and Aerobiology Research Unit at the University’s St John’s Campus.
The morning session will look at the underpinning mechanisms, including intolerance and chemical sensitivity, oral allergy syndrome and signs and symptoms of intolerance, but will assume no prior knowledge.
The afternoon session will look at steps you can take to identify and minimise contact with the allergen including how to keep a food intolerance journal, elimination diets, functional testing and improving digestion.
