We’re proud of our graduates and their outstanding employment record.
The University of Worcester has one of the best graduate employment rates. We are in the top 10 for ‘Sustained employment with or without further study’ in the most recent Longitudinal Educational Outcomes data, which looks at employment rates 1 year (9th), 3 years (9th) and 5 years (8th) after graduation. Almost 95% (94.9%) of our graduates are working and/or studying six months after graduation.
Investing in your career
Worcester has a number of initiatives, which will enhance your employability skills. One of these is 'Earn as You Learn' which encourages students to seek part time employment during their time at Worcester in order to improve their employability on graduation, as well as paying some bills. Staff across the university are happy to help students to identify the skills they have gained during this work which will be relevant for their longer term careers aspirations. Many courses have work experience modules which enable work to inform their studies and vice versa.
We want to help all our students to prepare for work by optimising their applications, developing their CVs and enhancing their interview technique.
To support our students we have developed a suite of opportunities, which include internships, work placements and our paid student ambassador scheme.
Placements give you the chance to put what you learn into practice, resulting in an invaluable combination of qualifications and experience that marks you out when applying for graduate jobs.
You can access specialist staff offering careers guidance through our Careers Service.
