MP David Miliband said he had been “inspired” during a visit to the University of Worcester today.
Mr Miliband, the former Labour schools minister and Foreign Secretary, who is now a backbencher, took a tour of The Hive and the University’s City Campus before meeting students and members of the press.
After his visit he said: “The University wants to make itself a British landmark with its new library and, next year, its sports arena, and these are the sorts of initiatives that drive universities and cities forward.
“It was good to hear the students say that they are really pleased that they came to the University, as they are the judge and jury at the end of the day and clearly they are getting a lot out of what’s being put in for them.”
