Oran has won multiple teaching awards for his work in Game Courses abroad and here in the UK. With over a decade of teaching experience and success leading the BSc Game Design and Development, Oran now leads Learning and Teaching strategies for the Business school in his role as Director of Learning and Teaching where he promotes best practices around Learning and Teaching and helps drive the technology enhanced learning agenda.
He has taught students who have gone on to be freelance level designers, game programmers and even entrepreneurs in game development. He has formed academic agreements over the years with some of the biggest game companies in the world and worked with and along-side industry experts throughout his career. He has arranged agreements with key players in the industry who have provided their technology to the BSc Game Design and Development course and to the Gaming Society and as a result some major companies are constantly watching students from this degree program for new talent. Oran has made it a point to ensure maintained contact with industry players and develops student projects around what the industry would like to see as part of their own games and technology."
