I work with the Foundation Degree team in the Institute of Health and Society, alongside other work-based learning colleagues, as part of a team within Allied Health Sciences. We help support students with work-based learning for the Foundation Degree courses in Health and Social Care, Mental Health, Child & Adolescent Mental Health and Dementia Studies courses. With extensive experience in private sector business and enterprise, I am keen to develop knowledge around other models of supporting individuals within social enterprise or social business models.

From the initial application stage to the point where students successfully complete their qualifications, we are available to: help students find placement opportunities; liaise with mentors and prospective providers; visit students whilst out on placement; resolve work based learning issues; help support the teaching team; mark work based learning assignments; and help to assess and plan the Foundation Degree poster presentation day.

Please feel free to contact us if we can help you with work-based learning or placement-related queries.
