After graduating with a first-class honours degree in Information Technology for Education, Zerrin then completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and fulfilled her long held aim to become an IT teacher.
“The course was ideal for me”, said Zerrin “because I always knew what I wanted to do after my degree. However, I believe that if I had not chosen to go into teaching, my degree would have given me a wide range of employment prospects”.
“As a teacher of IT, I now feel very secure in the breadth and depth of my subject knowledge. My degree enabled me to learn a great deal about education which has helped me professionally”.
“During my degree, I came to believe in myself and developed a ‘can-do’ approach. I learned to keep to deadlines and work in a team. I also got much better at looking objectively at both sides of a situation, arguing a point of view and communicating my ideas in writing”.
“The University of Worcester is very flexible and customer-focused, offering a variety of modules. The lecturers were incredibly helpful, offering guidance whenever needed and on any subject. I enjoyed my time at the university and would definitely recommend the course.”
