Entrepreneurship Support

Your journal into entrepreneurship may start from many places and as such we offer a number of touch points by which you can start to interact with us. We are very much part of the solution, supporting you the entrepreneur to learn new skills, develop networks and foster good practice. To do this we have split our support into our core facilitations:

Worcesterpreneur Events

These are monthly networking and speaker events attracting students and local entrepreneurs with the central theme of starting a business or becoming self employed.† For more information, see our video.†


The process of idea generation and selection for some people can be a hard one. So to develop these skills we offer an online course for our students.

Business Idea Clinic

If you have a business idea, self employment opportunity or just want to talk about what itís like to start a business then pop along to our weekly drop-in 1-2-1 Business Idea Clinic.

Summer Bootcamp

A summer business start-up programme aimed at young people within Worcestershire. Each person will be supported over a ten week period to start their business with a range of tailored support.


The University of Worcester runs a global best-practice mentoring solution, which has been built up over a number of years. This uses a mixture of face-to-face and online mentoring techniques.

Retail opportunities†††††††

We have relationship with a number of Markets, including LSD promotions who run Worcester City markets, Boffy Events who run markets in Hereford and Crowngate Shopping Centre.


We have partnered with 'Crowdfund Campus' to launch a crowdfunding platform to fund the validation of the business idea.

Entrepreneurs in Residence

We are excited to be working with our group of 20 entrepreneurs from around Worcestershire who help us to refine current programmes, enhance the student experience, foster business ideas and promote the Universityís business support.

Media Lab

Worcester Media Lab is a student-led design and development lab working in conjunction with the University of Worcester. It provides excellent opportunities for students to gain work experience on industry projects, delivering digital media, websites and apps.

Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa†††††††

The Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur (GE) scheme gives University of Worcester graduates, the opportunity to develop credible business ideas within the UK with the support of the University.

Scaling Up

The programme will provide the opportunity for owners of small businesses to engage with other potential scale-up businesses. The programme includes 6 sessions combining a blend of online and in-person sessions.
